Helping With Recruitment

Kappa Alpha Theta alumnae may write a letter of recommendation for young ladies attending any university or college with a Kappa Alpha Theta chapter.  Letters for college-bound women from the Mid-Cities area (including Argyle, Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, Hurst, Keller, North Richland Hills, Roanoke, Southlake, Trophy Club, Westlake) should be sent to:

Ms Georgia Kidwell
Area Rec Coordinator & Recruitment Chair
308 Brookview
Hurst, TX 76054
grgkdw@yahoo.com

Letter of recommendation forms can be found on the Kappa Alpha Theta website:
 www.kappaalphatheta.org
Georgia prefers that alumnae use the pdf version of the letter of recommendation on the Theta website.  It should be completed and printed out.  The printed letter of recommendation should be sent to her home at the address provided above along with the following items from the potential new member:

  • resume
  • high school transcript
  • two photos (head shot and full body) that will not be returned and should be labeled on back
  • 10 x 12 mailing envelope with postage paper clipped to the envelope
Deadlines for letters of recommendation will vary by university.  Alumnae should check the university and college websites for specific recruitment deadlines.

The Mid-Cities Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae Chapter works closely with the Mid-Cities Panhellenic Association during recruitment. The association can provide useful information about recruitment and may be able to assist with obtaining letters of recommendation.   It is recommended that area students register their intent to go through recruitment with Mid-Cities Panhellenic.

We also encourage candidates to register early for recruitment at their colleges and universities.  Candidates will need to check with their university panhellenic organization to see when registration begins.
